Who This Is For:

Individuals, small groups and families who want to enjoy the outdoors with the training and equipment to handle the adverse situations that can arise. This is preparedness for people who understand that help cannot always arrive in time and are ready to make the difference themselves. This is for people who want to enter into outdoors adventure (and navigate tourist-season highway traffic) with the confidence that they will be able to get their family home safely.

Training:

The Sportsman First Aid Training course includes the DOC First Aid Sportsman kit and trains participants first aid basics needed for the outdoor sportsman or active family. Participants will receive the training to be prepared to identify and respond to the most common first aid emergencies encountered in the city or in the wild. Principles covered include bleeding control, backcountry first aid and preparedness, and can be curated to apply specifically to your intended excursions or specific use-case scenarios.

Focus: The basics and beyond the basics of Bleeding Control, Triage of Outdoor Injuries, Preventive Strategies, Ongoing Injury Recovery.

Optional add-on of CPR/ Heartsaver First Aid and Stop the Bleed Certifications.
